Access to CCM tools

Access to CCM tools for UK HE/FE users is provided through Shibboleth, a SAML-based federating software that does not require the release of user identities. Users should check with their institutions to discover what information is released by Shibboleth to content providers.

If your institution is not part of the UK Access Management Federation, but we have agreed to give you access to CCM tools, we will manage your access through the Copac Identify Provider (IdP). The following information is needed for us to provide access via the Copac IdP and to communicate with you. By providing this information you agree that you have asked us to process it as described in our standard privacy notice (at ). You may instruct us to stop processing it at any time by deleting your details from the Copac IdP.

How CCM tools uses cookies

Cookies for Access Control

We use cookies to allow you to sign in to the Contributor Dashboard via the UK Access Management Federation Shibboleth Identity provider or via the Copac Identicy Provider. If cookies aren’t enabled on your computer, you will be unable to sign in. The Shibboleth cookies also ensure you are given the correct personalisation, for example your Search History.

These cookies are used on Copac to improve your website experience.

survey For a CCM user survey we may use a cookie to record whether you have completed the survey, to ensure you do not keep getting the survey prompt each time you go to our home page.
This cookie is only in use during the survey period, usually c. 4 weeks a year.
